bling bling and the next best thing

Had my eye on these boots for months after seeing Lindsay Lohan (I dont usually refer to her as a style icon but please excuse me this time) on the cover of Elle aaaaages ago.

I know they are fairly old hat at this stage but Christian Louboutin Ronfifi 100 button boots pretty much rule.
Pretty sure my life would actually be enhanced if I were to own them, boots with life affirming super powers - thats right.

They would go with literally everything, heres lil Dakota Fanning rocking a shorter pair in Marie Claire a while back.....

Amazeballs.

Soooo, I was pretty chuffed to see Office knocking out a pretty similar pair a couple of weeks ago......

Henry Holland is once again ahead of the fash pack with his printed tights, check out the limited edition Citights range, available for approx €13 on tightsplease.co.uk, see link above.

My faves are the Paris tights but Im also quite entrigued by the LA tights with the Hollywood logo splashed all over them.

Fancy some new additions to your wardrobe?

Already shredded your credit card?

Guilt inducing impulse buys that you don’t wear (never wore!) taking up space in your closet?
You need SWAP TILL YOU DROP, a brand new, smart and fun fashion event that promises to work a wardrobe miracle turning your one-wear wonders into brand new gems all in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.

This unique event requires that YOU bring a selection of clothes, shoes and accessories that are just not getting the love they deserve, WE will ensure that you get to see everything available to swap in your size and go home with some great new looks.
SWAP TILL YOU DROP is the brainchild of Síona Ryan, who knows a thing or two about hosting a hot event, from her early days hosting the POD to Ministry of Sound and everywhere from Berlin to NY. Síona’s roots are in fashion, studying fashion design before pursuing a career in music, she recently returned to Dublin after many years working in the music industry in London as a marketeer and record label boss (her resume happens to include launching one of the worlds biggest bands - The Killers!) This lady has been responsible for the looks of many a budding starlet and knows how to turn a glamorous look quickly and efficiently (sometimes in small spaces, possibly while holding a cocktail!) and will be on hand to dispense advice on how to change your look and get the most out of the event.
Come and experience a feel good fashion day out with old friends and old clothes – with a guarantee that you will gain new fashion finds and friends, if you play the game right.
There will be many different facets to this high-octane event: savvy swappers will enjoy playing SPEED SWAP – just like speed dating but potentially far more rewarding (and without the risk of feeling cheap and dirty afterwards!). There will be a schedule of Speed Swapping by size (all sizes welcome) so that the serious swapper can really focus on the task in hand.

Take part in our STAR SWAP SHOW – on arrival, our team will help you choose the star of your collection and we will showcase it in our STAR SWAP SHOW which will be ongoing all afternoon. Think of it as a fabulous fashion auction without the price tag and watch the swap offers come flooding in …
Lastly for that extra fashion feel good factor, take a stroll through the TUNNEL OF LUCK (donation required). Our team of Fashion Fairy God Mothers will wave their wand over you, dispensing a host of accessories, up-styles, make-up and, if luck is on your side, brand new designer items. The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association is dedicated to providing care for people with Motor Neurone Disease, their carers and families as well as supporting research into the causes and treatments of MND. MND is an incurable neurological condition leaving people unable to do the everyday things the rest of us take for granted, like walking, talking and swallowing which may become virtually impossible.
The IMNDA is a small organisation relying heavily on fundraising in order to continue providing vital services to the MND community; such as financial assistance towards home help, specialised equipment on loan and home visiting by an MND Nurse Specialist. Since its foundation 25 years ago, IMNDA has provided assistance to over

3,000 members, and has worked to promote a programme of integrated multidisciplinary care for the condition.
As the association marks 25 years of care and research, it is the perfect time to take part and give to this worthy cause

Fairest of them All

Soooo readers, we meet again...................**cough, my apologies**

Im a sucker for collaborations and walking by the Mac Make Up Store on Grafton Street yesterday I was delighted to see that the long awaited Mac Venomous Villians range in collaboration with Disney has landed. They are super adorable and as much as I like to judge a book by its cover, its not all about the packaging - there seems to be a villians range for most colourings in the collection.

''Sleeping Beauty got her prince, and Snow White may have been the fairest in the land, but when it comes to classic fairy tales, good girls are so cliché. What really captures our attention are the vampy devilish divas that always manage to cast a spell over everyone they meet. In the spirit of the unabashedly cunning seductress, MAC Cosmetics has collaborated with Disney to created four separate colour collections that pay homage to a cast of characters who aren’t shy about being very, very bad. There’s the incomparable Cruella De Vil, the infamous London heiress hell-bent on obtaining one very couture fur coat; the jealous, aging supermodel that is Snow White’s Evil Queen; Maleficent, a snubbed evil fairy whose vengeance put Sleeping Beauty to bed without supper; and the devious Dr. Facilier, a hip, stylish voodoo king with a thing for frogs. Featuring a palette of pearlescent blacks, royal plums and rosy reds, you wouldn’t dare turn them down. It’s absolutely wicked.''

With product names in the range like Innocence Beware!, Heartless, Devilshly Stylish, Strange Potion, Toxic Tale and Bite of an Apple theres much to be excited about.

My favourites just from viewing them on line I suspect will be The Evil Queen's eyeshadow duos, the colours looking so rich in pigment are perfect for the colour blocking trend at the moment, they vey much seem to glisten in a certain light too so I'd imagine they are also very flattering.

Ooooh Ahh, shiny things etc....

The Wicked Ways and Devilishly Stylish lip glosses from the Cruella range also look worty of a try with everyone always searching for the perfect red for their lips, this looks like it might be a good 'un...

Mac Cruella Lipgloss in Wicked Ways

Also Im reckoning that Cruella and The Evil Queen are pretty much style icons this season fashion wise too, Capes and Fierce Fur coats.............A/W Howarye.

Modern day Evil Queens anyone?.......

And Ms DeVille's?........

All two toned hair, crazy headpieces and long gloves......
Respect Villains, much respect.

Book Bags

Fashion designer Olympia LeTan has produced a series of 21 handbags that feature embroidered reproductions of first edition classic novels. The collection aptly named 'You cant judge a book by its cover' was inspired by the designers passion for collection old books. Each bag is lined in Liberty print, has felt applique and is embroidered with silk thread. Delicious.
The bags are currently on sale in Parisian powerhouse Collette....LOVE that shop. Last time I was there they were showcasing Barbie Dolls dressed by various legends such as shop regular Karl Lagerfeld. All kinds of ace.

to the max

so according to a survey by men maxi dresses are hideous.......lets get 'em......
